About this product

Soffell Mosquito Repellent Lotion (Floral Scent) 60ml is a mosquito repellent lotion with 13% DEET and a light floral scent. Soffell says it also contains a moisturiser to keep skin soft. A lotion is easier to control than a spray on small areas and on children. Soffell's maker, the Indonesian company Enesis Group, says one application protects for around 8 hours. lmching ships it from Hong Kong, usually within one business day.

How to use

Apply it to exposed skin before you go outside, and reapply after swimming, heavy sweating or towelling off.

1Squeeze a small amount into your palm.
2Smooth it evenly over exposed skin on your arms, legs and neck.
3For your face and ears, spread a thin layer with your fingertips.
4Keep it away from your eyes and mouth.
5Wash it off once you're back indoors.

FAQ

Is the Soffell Mosquito Repellent Lotion (Floral Scent) 60ml sold by lmching authentic?

Yes. The Soffell Mosquito Repellent Lotion (Floral Scent) 60ml sold by lmching is authentic, like every product in lmching's store.

How long does Soffell protect for?

Around 8 hours, according to Enesis Group, which makes Soffell. Protection can wear off sooner in heat, humidity or with sweating, so reapply when mosquitoes start biting again, and after swimming or towelling off.

What is the active ingredient in Soffell?

DEET (diethyltoluamide) at 13%, in both the sprays and the lotions. The sprays also contain alcohol and fragrance.

Should I choose the Soffell spray or lotion?

The pump spray covers arms and legs quickly, and the 30ml size fits a pocket or bag. The lotion is easier to control on small areas and on children. Both contain 13% DEET.

Can I put Soffell lotion on my face?

Yes. Spread a thin layer over your face and ears with your fingertips, keeping it away from your eyes and mouth. Wash your hands afterwards.

Can I use Soffell with sunscreen?

Yes. Apply sunscreen first, let it absorb, then apply Soffell on top. The CDC advises against products that combine sunscreen and DEET. You don't need to reapply Soffell every time you reapply sunscreen.

Will Soffell damage my clothes or sunglasses?

It can. DEET can damage plastics such as watch faces and glasses frames, synthetic fabrics like rayon and spandex, leather, and painted or varnished surfaces. It shouldn't damage cotton or wool. Apply it to skin, not clothes.

Can children use Soffell?

Follow the age guidance on the label of your bottle. An adult should apply it by putting it on their own hands first, keeping it away from the child's eyes, mouth and hands. Wash it off once you're back indoors. The lotion is easier to control than the spray on children.
